Best French Restaurants in Linden

Fantastic birthday dinner at this new French bistro in the West Village. We did cocktails and wines by the glass, which were delicious and fun, although the by-the-bottle wine list is well constructed. On food, the ratatouille was fantastic, as was the asparagus soup with foie gras. We saved room for the Cote d'Boeuf for two, which was one of the best steak dishes we've had in a long time. Desserts were also on point -- a vanilla ice cream with so much vanilla flavor it was almost tropical. Service was very good, especially for a newer restaurant, and while the space is small the noise level wasn't over the top. Great addition to the neighborhood. We'll definitely be back.

The food and service are always OUTSTANDING at The Odeon! Today, I want to call attention to our server's attention to detail, which was spot-on excellent! She must have observed my dining companion opening his birthday card, or overheard us talking....but when dessert arrived, it came with a lit birthday candle and heartfelt congratulations : ) THANK YOU!

Certainly a hidden gem! We spent an incredible Christmas Eve dinner at Chez Catherine. The food was spectacular and the maître made great suggestions. The risotto was superb. We are definitely coming back soon!
