Best French Restaurants in Kenwood

Bistro Jeanty never disappoints. It is always the first stop for a late lunch after the drive into Yountville and is always a great welcome to the valley. Food quality and service is always excellent. My wife and I brought our 21 year old children for the first time and they loved it. Escargot, duck liver pate, steak frites, cassoulet, and frisée salad were perfect as usual. Thank you Bistro Jeanty for continuing your exceptional commitment to quality.

FIrst time having lunch at Augie’s. Took the SMART Train from Petaluma Downtown (could have used Petaluma North). I got a $6 pre-paid round trip to the Santa Rosa Downtown station and found out that seniors could travel for free, at least until June 30, 2025. It’s a 13 minute walk from the but it’s a 4 minute Uber ride. We got there at 11:00 am and were given a menu and a place to sit in the sun until the place opened at 11:30. Love the fact that they have the WHOLE DINNER MENU available at lunch. And my favorite server, Ali, was our server. We ordered French Sancerre white wine by 5oz for me and 9 oz for my friend. If one more had come we would have ordered a bottle. MMMMMMMM APPETIZERS * 1/2 Dox local oysters OMG! * Escargot with black truffles. Good, but wished I ordered the standard ones. * House-cooked french bread and house created salted butter. OMG! * Coquille St Jacque OMG! Scallops like no other! * Frogs Legs. The last time OMG this time good. * Liberty Farms Duck Liver Terrine OMG!! With onion fig marmalade. It was our #1 * Crepe Suzettes for dessert. * Great coffee to match it. Service A+ with my favorite server Ali! And I think the front of the house person was one of the owners. She made sure everything was going close to perfect. A little less phrenetic than the dinner time. Probably because it was mid-week.

I simply love the restaurant at Auberge du Soleil. It's always a magical moment to have lunch in front of such a majestic view of Napa Valley. The food is impeccable and beautifully presented. The service is excellent. Can't wait for my next visit!

La Gare is a wonderful choice for dinner out with friends. The menu is tried and true and the “specials” are always worthy. The wine list is certainly representative of a community that prides itself on world class wines. Perhaps best of all is the service—always attentive but never obtrusive.
