- AAlbertoVIPChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe limited time squid ink gnocchi with lobster was amazing. The wait staff truly works as a team, timely picking up dishes and ensuring that your needs are met. They also were super knowledgeable of the menu, so much so I ventured with a gin cocktail (I hate gin) and found that the gin was just like the waiter described (well masked). 10/10More infoPammy'sPrice: Very Expensive• American• Cambridge•4.8

Every dish is scrumptious. On this visit, we ordered 3 appetizers: the scallops--a special; crab ravioli and escargots. Each was full of flavor and perfectly sauced. For our main courses, we ordered the duck, the sirloin and the Dover sole. We each ate our own and tasted the others. We couldn't decide which was the best; each was so delicious. Even though we were beyond full, we couldn't resist a dessert. We shared the profiteroles and chocolate mousse. The former were tasty but the the mousse was a showstopper--rich and creamy with the best ever dark chocolate. Appetizer of foie gras was excellent and the magret canard with brussels sprouts and an orange sauce in a gravy boat was a perfect presentation for those who would like a choice of using the sauce. My preference has always been seared RARE duck breast served plain and thinly sliced. But this evening I did dip some of my duck into the sauce and was pleasantly surprised. My dinner partner felt her seared scallops were outstanding. My 10 year old son devoured his hamburger topped with a "ton" of melted gooey cheese and his frites were to his liking. My son and I have dined out together for 7 years and he is the perfect dinner companion with good manners and is a quiet conversationalist. I would not bring a child to Ma Maison who cannot maintain appropriate decorum that respects other diners. Two couples who shared a table next to us engaged my son in a conversation as we were leaving. At the end they brought me into the conversation and asked, "Can we take him home with us?" Of course I politely declined all the while thinking, "You could never afford him!" :-))More infoMa MaisonPrice: Moderate• French• Beacon Hill•4.8

When we asked to slow down it was a lot better but we got 3 courses out of 7 ln less than 15 minutes. We will definitely be backMore infoBistro du MidiPrice: Expensive• French• Back Bay•4.7
