We ate the lamb shanks, the muscles, the bread and the beet salad topped off with amazing dessert. The crème brûlée was divine. The tart the chocolate tart was a solid second best. We may have had a few bees knees as well. We will definitely return and most likely bring friends when they’re visiting. More infoBaby ShankPrice: Expensive• French American• Dupont Circle•4.2
- RRobertVIPWashington, D.C. Area •17 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoGreat ambiance, service, and food in a pre-movie dinner for three. Great hot soup on a night of exceptional winter chill. Three different seafood entrees for three different diners, all excellent. Efficient, friendly, non-obsequious service that knew how to time things, so all was done before time to leave for the movie house. Bustling, cosmopolitan, but polite, non-noisy crowd provided stimulating dining backdrop.More infoMacon BistroPrice: Moderate• French American• Friendship Heights•4.4

The vibes were great but the only problem was the music and the volume. I was told the owner/manager was the DJ and the music selections definitely didn’t fit the vibe of the evening. Also it was incredibly loud and I could barely hear the people I came with which led to everyone in the bar screaming over each other which made the experience a lot less enjoyable than my previous visits. I highly recommend they hire a DJ or have a curated playlist playing at an enjoyable level. Other than that the service was great!More infoMinetta Tavern DC & Lucy MercerPrice: Very Expensive• French American• NoMa•4.8
