- RRoyNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoIf you are in the Downtown or Golden Square Mile area of Montreal make this restaurant a stop. The food, service and atmosphere is outstanding. Our server Antonio (Tony) was just wonderful. His service was outstanding. We started the petite plateau and cocktails ( excellent Martini) then moved onto escargot for a hot appetizer. The plateau consisting of Prince Edward Island Oysters, Shrimp and Salmon Tartar was extremely fresh and beautifully presented. The Escargot that followed perfect. Mains were a special of Filet Migon cooked medium rare to perfection accompanied by roasted mushrooms and pomme puree and a Salmon with a lemon butter sauce from the standing menu paired with spaghetti sqush and medly of vegetables. Again ,Salmon was cooked to perfection. There is a wide selection of wines to choose from although some may think their price point is too high. Classic French Bistro desserts are offered. The Creme Brulee hit the mark as the ubiquitous offering can have a lot of variation. Definitely a repeat visit warrented as well as a recommendation to do so for others An outstanding experience.More infoLe Pois PenchéPrice: Expensive• French• Downtown•4.7
- JJudeMontreal / Quebec •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 12, 2025The food was of excellent quality, you will get what you paid for. The chef approached each table to ask us how our experience was, and he is very gracious and open, speaking to us about his journey into opera and his decades-long experience as a chef. The ambiance is very cozy and upbeat. Lastly, the Semifreddo dessert was incredible, the perfect complement to the delicious dinner. I would highly recommend this experinece!More infoIl BazzaliPrice: Expensive• Italian• Little Italy•4.7

- MmichaelNew York City •17 reviews4.0Dined on Oct 18, 2024Bungalow has essentially a classic bistro menu with some updates. Fried calamari with salad was an excellent appetizer for two people to share. It seemed fresh and well-prepared. Mains of steak (cooked exactly as requested) and navarin d'agneau (underseasoned) were perfectly fine withoug being at all distinctive. In short, exactly what I usually want from a bistro: a predictable meal of good quality ingredients, classically prepared with no surprises. On the night we were there, it was not at all crowded, so noise level was fine. But we could easily hear the conversation of a table at the other end of the restaurant, so I imagine it might be noisy when full.More infoRestaurant BungalowPrice: Expensive• Market Cuisine• Plateau Mont-Royal•4.7
