- KKiaVIPWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoI wanted to treat my family to a nice dinner at a Black owned restaurant for MLK Day and we found Ms. Toya’s online. We made reservations for 3pm and parked around the corner in a garage. It was a very convenient 3-5 minute walk away. The hostess greeted us and we were seated within ten minutes of our arrival. Our server, Natalie, was friendly and pretty attentive. Our party of four ordered several appetizers and all were delicious. Deviled eggs plain and with shrimp, spinach dip w/crabmeat, crab claws, and 2 orders of bayou rolls. Very tasty! Our entrees were crab cake sandwich, French toast brunch, chicken and waffles, and the bayou pasta. Everyone enjoyed their meals but I will note that the crab cake sandwich came out with the wrong toppings initially and my eggs needed to be cooked more. Not a big deal really but the sandwich took a while because it needed to be remade. Our server gave us a dessert to make up for the mix up with the sandwich, and that was appreciated. Loved the music and ambiance at the restaurant, and we will return. Overall, we really enjoyed the vibe, the meal, and the service. Value was pretty good but the appetizers were on the expensive side based on the portions we received. Entrees were appropriately priced. A 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill and it came to just under $300. We did not drink alcohol.More infoMiss Toya's Creole House - Silver SpringPrice: Moderate• Creole / Cajun / Southern• Silver Spring•4.5
- CCreWashington, D.C. Area •10 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe restaurant is nice but very small. The service was amazing but the food, ok. Th3 shrimp and grits was not what I imagine. The ends were on the grit smothered in gravy I think and there was no season to it. I will not order it again. I saw it being served on Housewives of Potomac and the plating was completely different. On the show the grits were served on top with no gravy. I will try something different next time.More infoMiss Toya's Southern Kitchen - LaurelPrice: Moderate• Creole / Cajun / Southern• Laurel•4.3

- DDennitaBaltimore / Maryland •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFirst time dining here. Service was great. Ordered the double crabcake. All lump, no filler, tasty but too many shells. It seemed I was picking one out with almost every bite. Sides weren't hot. Delicious lemon drop. My fiance enjoyed his catfish meal. They were sold out of the rockfish, which is what I wanted to order. However, we will go back and give them another try.More infoEthel's Creole KitchenPrice: Moderate• Creole / Cajun / Southern• Northwest Baltimore•4.8
