- MMatthewNew York City •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFor the first time dining at The James my wife and I had a great time celebrating our 11 year anniversary. Even on a Saturday night during “rush hour” the service was top tier, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. We really enjoyed the Crab Cake, Tomahawk Steak, Duck Fat Gratin Potatoes, and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Overall I’d recommend The James based upon our experience and we will be returning for certain. Special shout out to our Waitress Ana Besy who made the experience memorable with her fantastic service.More infoThe JamesPrice: Very Expensive• Continental• Babylon•4.5

It is such a beautiful touch that they show you what everything looks like on the iPad. The atmosphere is refined and comfortable while the decor is beautiful, reminiscent of The Great Gatsby. The owner, Robert, is present, personable, and hands-on. More infoRobert's Scratch KitchenPrice: Moderate• Continental• Totowa•4.7

Food/wine/beer was good and the view over the (frozen!) lake with the sun shining on it was a delight. Not cheap - but decent value for money for a special lunch with friends. Highly recommended.More infoCentral Park BoathousePrice: Very Expensive• Continental• Upper East Side•4.6

And not because it’s a tourist restaurant. It’s just that good. My new go-to for out of town guests and theatre nights. Thank you!!More infoSardi'sPrice: Expensive• Continental• Theater District•4.6
