Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Kansas City

We went to Plate to celebrate our anniversary as we have done in the past. We had been there before Covid and once since and are thrilled that they survived and appear to be doing very well. We reserved an early dinner and enjoyed the chance to have a quieter experience. The server was excellent. The food was excellent.  It’s a very nice place. Highly recommended!

First time and it was great! Food was exceptional and our waiter (Joey) was great! We had the Pasta Prix Fixe (for two) and we both ordered the Bolognese which is amazing! We have been looking for a good Italian restaurant in KC and we found it. The only recommendation is when making reservations - the hightop seating is small table (only for 2) so if you like alot of room I would not do the hightop. We had barely enough room for our food & bread but we made do.

Lovely place. Staff very attentive. Husband loved the chicken parm. My ravioli dish was upper end of good (a little to Al dente) but not great. Presentation was top notch.

Wonderful 5 course meal for Restaurant Week! Service impeccable and everyone was exceptionally friendly. Would recommend this for date night anytime.

Best steak I have ever had! Cocktails were delicious and the servers were amazing. Especially Kalana!
