Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Hightstown

We had a lovely evening celebrating with family. Upon arriving we were quickly brought to our table. It was a large table which sat all 8 of us comfortably with bench seating for 6 and 2 chairs. The servers were professional, kind and attentive. We ordered several appetizers. We loved the chopped Italian and goat cheese salads as well as the crispy rice with tuna. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. Upon recommendation from our server many of us shared a steak dinner as well as their homemade pasta special. We overindulged on the sides. Our favorites were the mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and corn. Finished the meal with an amazing affogato. The presentation of the dessert was perfect for the 2 young men at our table who were celebrating their birthdays. We look forward to coming back to enjoy a memorable, delicious and special night out to dinner.

Great little restaurant. Really liked it, just a little loud. It’s a small place and crowded which is absolutely fine. Music could be a little lower so you can have better conversation. Otherwise can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!!!

I took my friend here to celebrate her 50th birthday. It did not disappoint and in fact the evening exceeded our expectations. Our server, Lacey, was fantastic! She gave us great recommendations on both cocktails, appetizers, the main meal, and dessert. We loved it all from the octopus appetizer, the mushroom pasta dish, the Bronzino, and the delicious banana bread pudding. Claudia, the sommelier, suggested a fantastic dessert drink, a Spanish, cold pressed cider. It was a perfect evening.

We always enjoy a very good meal when we go to Angelo’s. The service is excellent and the food is fresh and delicious.
