Best Contemporary Italian Restaurants in Atwater Village

the dishes were quite inventive and not the sort of things we encounter in san diego restaurants. the squab pasta was amazingly tasty, the branzino perfectly prepared and delicious and the broccoli with olive oil, garlic and lemon couldn't have been better. the honeycomb ice cream and cannoli were just the right ending to our wonderful meal. the wine list was also inventive and the bottle of sicilian grillo blend paired perfectly with our dishes.

Wow, coming from a first generation Italian family with a Mom who is the “heavy weight champion” of authentic Italian fare. This meal was epoch. We need DRAGO in Boston!! I will always come back here when I am any where near LA. Service, class and perfection all around the table… Erik Santucci

What a cute find in Glendale!!! The service was excellent and the meal was so delicious.... Definitely a great place for a date night or a yummy meal when you just don't feel like cooking!

We made reservations through Open Table months ago and never received notice that they are not yet open. All dressed up and got there to a construction zone. We called and never received a call back. We messaged them through Insta and never received a reply. Things happen, openings are delayed, but a phone call would have been appreciated. I received multiple reminders of my reservation, they HAVE to have some sort of communication with Open Table, but no one bothered to get in touch with us so we could make other plans. Happy Anniversary to us! 😒 ****We received a lovely note from the ownership and will be dining with them upon opening. At that time, we’ll let you know how it was. Didn’t know what to expect, but I met a couple friends after work and we shared a pizza and some appetizers. The service was fabulous. Elvira was lovely and attentive. The pour of wine by the glass was generous and the noise level was quiet enough for us to have a lovely conversation between friends - we will definitely come back!! The pizza and brussels sprouts were fabulous!
