Cocktails from menu are twists on classic cocktails, and they were truly extraordinary, as well as the off menu cocktails we ordered, and we've sampled some of the best. Food sampled at bar: Crudo, Tartare, Pain et Beurre, and Gougere. All were phenomenal. Service at bar was very attentive and knowledgable, they know what they're doing, and they do it well. Cool vibe and music playing from reel to reel player in bar. Very open, busy kitchen with frequent calls from cooks, "Oui, chef!" Great for foodies and cocktail nerds. Pricey, some may not appreciate the value.More infoJeune et JoliePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Carlsbad•4.9

I'll come back for dinner, but will be doing my drinks elsewhere.More infoLe CoqPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• La Jolla•4.4

The only thing that could have made it better would be to serve it with boiled peeled new potatoes with parsley and a touch of butter. One comment. Your food is always excellent, but it would be good to have a few items on the menu that change much more often to provide more variety to habitués like us.More infoBistro du Marché by TapenadePrice: Expensive• French• La Jolla•4.8
