For the most part one of the guys the looked after us was Carson, one of the sommeliers, absolutely fantastic service, great knowledge and as colleagues, a great experience showcasing the wines and pairings of the restaurant! All the waiters were very friendly & knowledgeable. Great experienceMore infoGary DankoPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Fisherman's Wharf•4.8
- SStevenVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •12 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 28, 2024We went to this little neighborhood French bistro because we couldn’t get a table at the more popular restaurants like Elena and Khao Tiew in West Portal. To our surprise the food and ambiance were better than either of those hot restaurants. It was a full house by 7:30pm and many of the diners spoke French, which is a good sign of authenticity. We had the ChouChou mussels and baked Brie for appetizers, and they were rich and perfectly served. Then we had the rack of lamb and mushroom soufflé, which were both astonishing good for a neighborhood restaurant. This will be our go-to French restaurant in the future.More infoChou Chou BistroPrice: Moderate• French• Forest Hill / West Portal•4.3

We had a late seating and is typical during the Holidays. reservations were running a little late. No problem, our host walked us to the bar and saw that we were comfortably seated and introduced us to our bartender Jim -- who was great! Our dinner was excellent, all of our courses arrived in a timely manner and were well prepared. All the staff were both friendly and professional and added to our dining experience. The dining is beautiful any time of year, but especially for the Christmas Holiday.More infoThe Waterfront Restaurant and CafePrice: Expensive• Californian• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.6
