Best Contemporary Canadian Restaurants in Springbank

Ten Foot Henry is my favourite restaurant in Calgary and has been consistently for years!! My favourite dish of the night was the new “marinated beets” with mama ghanoush, salted ricotta (I omitted due to dairy allergy) & cured zucchini - A true chefs kiss/honourable mention to this extraordinary explosion of flavours, vivid colours and complimentary textures which paired superb with my delightful blueberry roiboos tea! We went for the night after Valentine’s dinner and they had the same great special available. We were also quite fortunate to have the table in front of the fireplace and it’s currently -19. A great night out.

As mentioned on a previous post by another reviewer, not crazy about the surcharge prior to booking, however, there is a rationale. This is one of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had with food service. Great ambience and interaction by all staff. They really know the food and the taste of the food. More importantly, they are clearly educated about the food contents and taste, which demonstrates how much care and detail goes into their efforts. Five star service. The Brussel sprouts have to be tasted, and with the menu changing daily, it’s hard to describe how good the beets and Brie appetizer was in writing. My wife and I just discussed ordering four appetizers as our next meal, one at a time for the full flavour profile experience. Highly recommend. Will be back.

The whole experience was excellent. Right from when we were seated by the very friendly hostess we knew we were in for a nice evening. Our server Constantine was so personable and professional. He did a great job of taking care of us. The meal was nothing short of amazing. We had the Valentine’s Day special they were running and it was priced very well and accompanied by a bottle of house wine. The price and value were very good. As we were enjoying our after dinner Lattes we were visited by their Sommelier, Arjan. This man entertained us with conversation about his journey into becoming a Master Sommelier. At the end of our evening we were greeted by a man at the door who was helpful in getting us our coats. The hostess was again very pleasant in wishing us a nice evening as we left. My wife and I have decided that we are going to make this at least a monthly visit for us. The whole experience was wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an intimate dinner out.

We always dine at Season’s on special occasions. The meat balls appetizer is delicious. The chicken supreme is excellent and nicely presented. Our server was very attentive and suggested a great wine to pair with our dinner. The ambiance is magical with all the lights in the parc. If you’re looking for a special place to share a nice meal in a cozy ambiance, Season’s is a great choice.
