Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Lakewood Ranch

We were able to get a reservation that was within our driving time. We were seated promptly by a friendly hostess. Aziz was our server. What a nice young man! Friendly, interesting and seems to love his job. My husband had chicken carbonara and had enough to bring half home. He had the chicken blackened. I had the salmon with bourbon glaze. It was perfectly salty crispy. We split a huge wedge salad. We have never had a bad meal at Libby’s. Aziz helped make the evening fun !

Reservation 8:30pm and was seated right away. Waiter warned us that with the holiday, that the kitchen and bar was really backed up and would take a while. Ordered right away. Beverages came right out but food came out at almost 10pm. Food was meh. Server checked in on us often and apologized non stop for the slow kitchen. We sat outside. Enjoyed the gorgeous night and time together and fortunately we weren’t starving so it didn’t cause any real distress. Was a good crowd. Valentine’s Day dinner but shocked the kitchen was so overwhelmed. If we had been hangry the experience would have ruined our date night. Not sure I’d go back for those reasons. But we had a great night nonetheless. 💓

Great food and atmosphere as usual, it was Valentines Day, so a little hectic. Server was friendly and attentive, we asked for bread twice to server and once to busboy until it was finally served. Meal came and waitress asked for anytime else and we asked for butter for potatoes, but we never received it. Those things will not stop us from continuing to eat there though

Lunch at Sophie's takes me back to the 60's at Hudson's at Eastland Mall with my Grandmother, Mother, and siblings; 70's and 80's at Oakland Mall in Madison Heights with my girlfriends; and the 2010's with my Dad at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi, MI! It waa so wonderful to shop and then have a leisurely lunch! Highly recommend Sophie's to recapture those memories with an updated menu and excellent service! (Wish Sophie's was open later for at least Happy Hour!)

Everything I had was outstanding. I usually try to take half my meals home but I ate every bite. The atmosphere, we sat outside, was so calm and inviting.
