Best Cocktail Bars in Mount Vernon Square

Six of us had Saturday brunch and celebrated a birthday. Food and service were great. My wife loved her huevos rancheros, I had birria Benedict, that was delicious. Cinnamon rolls were really great. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food and drinks. And the service was friendly and efficient. It was quite expensive it a fun and memorable birthday.

This place is absolutely phenomenal! The experience kicked off with amazing appetizers paired with incredible drinks. The drink selection was massive, offering something for every taste. The bone marrow appetizer was a standout—rich, flavorful, and perfectly executed. I also loved the twist on the selection of tequila; it was creative and refreshing. To top it all off, the dessert was both delicious and a visual masterpiece. Every dish felt like a work of art, from the flavors to the presentation. A must-visit for food lovers

Great drinks. Very helpful staff to help navigate through the whiskey list. Good selection of small and large plate bar food and the food was served fresh and hot. Very conveniently located across the street from Capital One Arena so this will be a good pre-game stop.

Incredible! This hospitality team understands hospitality. The ambiance is perfect, intimate yet welcoming. The menu is curated to perfection. Every drink is so thoughtful, well balanced and delicious. The music- bangers after bangers that alone is a reason to visit, do a little shimmy while you dip your chicken karaage. Going back to service- everyone there knows how to make an experience and that’s what you get going there! My friend and I tried basically the whole menu- Smooth Operator and In a Cadillac were our top favorites but you can’t go wrong with anything there and I can’t wait to go back!

The mixologist at Morris is a genius, and I loved the fact that we could tell him our favorite flavor profiles, and he could improvise brilliant cocktails! Egg whites especially appreciated, and did not mind paying the extra dollar. I did wish Morris had a real kitchen, though… Charcuterie plates and sandwiches only go so far, and then you want some hot, cooked tasty snacks to with those great cocktails.
