Best British Restaurants in Skirlaugh

Went for the first time during the Christmas break, staff were very welcoming, shown straight to our table The menu is extensive with something for everyone. We had the sticky pigs in blankets to share, then my wife had the steak and ale pie, and swapped the chips for cheddar mash, I had the braised rabbit pappardelle, both mains were superb, and would highly recommend. We had the sharing dessert and again it was excellent. We would highly recommend the Drovers Arms.

Breakfast on Christmas Eve. Ate of set menu. Good food-as usual. Great coffee. Friendly helpful and very pleasant staff. Very Good value for money.

Family night out for start to Xmas. Easy to reserve table on internet, we turned up a bit early so went for a drink in bar. That was a little more noisier but not too bad. Shown to table in the ‘Snug’ where it was much quieter and food orders taken quite quickly. Food comes owed to order so took a while to arrive but it was worth it, the food was piping hot, well presented and tasted lovely Will definately go back again

Excellent, delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Our server Imogen was very professional and efficient and a credit to the restaurant. The Lobster Thermidor was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The only negative was the poor service in the hotel bar beforehand. We had to wait quite a while but no one came to take our order even though there were staff behind the bar. In addition, the loud crashing of glass bottles being thrown into the bin behind the bar really spoilt the ambiance, not a great start to the evening sadly
