Best British Restaurants in Pudsey

The best Sunday lunch we have probably eve4 had! Melt in the mouth perfectly cooked beef, amazing veg and roasties. Deserts were fab also. Drinks were reasonably priced with a good selection. Staff were very polite and friendly. Dog enjoyed himself too! Can’t recommend this small restaurant enough. We were visiting the area but will definitely go again next time

An attentive and great service from all the team right from stepping through the door. We had originally tried to book at Brown’s for a pre-Christmas family meet up and Brown’s cancelled our table withe no explanation, perhaps because we didn’t want a bottomless brunch and just wanted a lunch menu. Great choice of food and the food was lovely. Not waiting long from ordering. Brown’s loss as the team at the Whitehall were excellent so will be back for our family get togethers.

Another fabulous visit to Bavette. After last-minute cancellation meant a table became available, we seized the chance and booked dinner. As always, the food was excellent, the wine paired perfectly, and the service was at a nice pace to enjoy the evening. The staff are attentive but not overbearing, and the overall setting is wonderful. This was our last visit of 2024, and we are looking forward to our first visit of 2025!

Lovely Christmas lunch at The Cookhouse - comfortable ambiance and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyable and we’ll be back for more soon!

We were waiting 45 minutes from our main meal for someone to come and ask us if we would like a dessert and then nobody came so we had to go and find someone, one other pointer the butter that came with the bread and olive starter was so hard we couldn’t spread it, maybe also add a dish of balsamic as the whole thing was very dry.
