Best British Restaurants in Flaunden

Our server (guy with dark hair, sorry didn’t get his name) was absolutely brilliant. We were 6 loud people and he got us to listen in such a lovely, tactful way we didn’t feel interrupted. He marshalled our order as people changed their minds and totally made the evening. I hope the Ivy sees this and can reward him as he was fantastic

Our recent visit to The Ivy fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were seated in the bar area at a sticky table, and no one approached us to take a drinks order while we waited for our table to be ready. When we were eventually seated, the table was wobbly — though the waitress did her best to fix it. The starters were enjoyable, but the mains lacked excitement and didn’t live up to the usual Ivy standard. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was affected by a table behind us playing videos loudly on their phones, which staff did not address. Overall, this visit didn’t measure up to our previous experiences at The Ivy, which is disappointing given their usual high standards.

CORE is exceptional. We've been fortunate enough to have been to a significant number of Michelin 3 stars. We both agreed this is a top 5. It's hard to add anything meaningful to the prior positive reviews. I'll add a couple of items I haven't seen much in the reviews. First, my wife is a vegetarian and CORE accommodated that beautifully. Second, the price of CORE, is very fair, particularly when compared with other 3 stars. We both had the classic menu, drank a nice bottle of Malbec, had two cocktails and some cognac. The bill was less than $1,000 US. While that is still a lot of money for a meal, it's probably the least we've paid at the 20 plus 3 stars we have now been to. Finally, we were impressed that the founder was very visible and friendly to patrons throughout the evening. That's something we are increasingly seeing less of in 3 star restaurants. It was nice to be greeted by her as we walked by the kitchen. It seems ridiculous to give a review and not talk about the food at all. It is exceptional and I have no insights that other reviewers have not already provided. This is a 3 star restaurant in every respect.

Each dish was superb and beautifully presented.The service was wonderful, professional yet friendly. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and helpful Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Really good pub food at the Elephant & Castle. Family had a wonderful time and the kids menu was really good value with good portion sizes for 10 year olds. Quiet on a Tuesday as expected, but that only meant the food came quicker which was nice, I was spoilt for choice with excellent pies, but went for the beef short rib which was excellent. Everyone was happy and would happily return.
