- PPaulaEssex •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe drove from Northampton to meet family for a fantastic Sunday roast at The Bell Inn at Purton Stoke which we have done for the last 3 years on the Sunday before Christmas. The food is phenomenal you will not find a better fresh home cooked Sunday roast anywhere. The service is quick and impeccable and the atmosphere is warm friendly and fun. The price is higher than say the average roast at your local restaurant or Toby but it is so worth it, there is that saying you get what you pay for. That is so very true. I would rather pay a bit more and know I'm guaranteed fabulous fresh home cooked food than pay less and have food that has been pre cooked frozen then defrosted in a microwave. You will totally enjoy your visit to The Bell Inn at Purton Stoke, wish it was closer to where we live. The pub itself is a gem which has a vast history, the staff are warm friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It's incredible clean in there and the toilets are as clean and fresh smelling as your toilets at home which I think are so vitality important. Thank you to all the staff for making yet another family memory enjoyable. Merry Christmas everyone.More infoThe Bell InnPrice: Moderate• British• Swindon•4.8

Despite her hectic schedule, our restaurant attendant Anastasia was attentive and considerate of my dairy intolerance. The starters and main courses were delicious; however, I thought the dessert selection was limited for those who avoid dairy. We would be happy to return, as we had a wonderful experience.More infoThe Ivy Oxford BrasseriePrice: Moderate• Contemporary British• Oxford•4.5
- JJoLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoLovely pre-Christmas meal in central Oxford. We booked early after spending the day shopping and felt welcome and unhurried, although I’m sure they had a busy service. I also liked the layout - tables weren’t cramped together despite it being a compact venue. My oysters were spectacularly good, and my black bream main was cooked perfectly. My party also ate kidneys, rabbits and steak and had desserts. My chocolate dessert was a little one-dimensional, and the bread and sides were quite ambitiously priced for the quantity provided. However, overall, we thought this was a very enjoyable meal cooked and presented with evident skill and care.More infoNo1 Ship StreetPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Oxford•4.7
- YYvonneGloucestershire/Wiltshire •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGreat evening with our friends for dinner. This is the 3rd time we’ve eaten here with these particular friends and we’ve been unable to fault anything. The pub is immaculate, the food was fantastic as always and the staff very friendly. It was quite loud on this particular evening as there was a large group of men on a Christmas party, we didn’t mind this at all and the staff must have thought ahead and seated us in one of the little snug areas.More infoMasons ArmsPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Fairford•4.7
- DDanLondon •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoGreat service and very friendly. Got a little busy and that meant the attentive nature to start dropped off. And the food was pricy for what it was. But delicious.More infoThe Ivy Bath Brasserie and GardenPrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Bath•4.4
