- NNatalieDorset •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoVisited for the first time today, although myself and hubby have visited a number of ivys in the past and the new Bournemouth brasserie lived up to the high expectations of the Ivy. We were greeted with very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff that honestly could not do enough for us. The decor is absolutely stunning and the service from start to finish was impeccable, we felt like royalty!! Most importantly the food was stunning. It was served to us in a very timely manner, well presented, hot and it was extremely delicious. We have already booked for Valentine’s weekend as we were totally blown away by the whole dining experience. Thank you and merry Christmas to all the wonderful hardworking staff at the Ivy that really did go above and beyond to make our experience a fantastic one.More infoIvy BournemouthPrice: Moderate• British• Bournemouth•4.4
- HHelenLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThere is always a smiling friendly welcome from Connor and his team. We got the table we requested in the main restaurant and close to the warm woodburner. Great variety of food and drinks on offer for lunch and all reasonably priced. The Xmas trees were all sparkly giving a lovely festive atmosphere.More infoThe Old InnPrice: Expensive• British• Wimborne•4.6
- CClaireDorset •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 9, 2024Firstly, The Anchor Inn is one of my favourite places in the world. I've been returning here for the passed 30 years! This review may sound a little picky that's because it is. These are the only things I can think of that are hopefully constructive. Everything else was super. Just two things that I would like to mention. The music, whilst generally good, it was very repetitive. Same genre and I think the same playlist over the 4 days we visited and perhaps a little too loud. (God, I sound old). I love music and it's great for ambience as background music, but I wasn't there to listen to it, I was there to spend time catching up with friends. Also, the veggie options. The aubergine and hummus baguette. In my opinion, was very bland. It sounded delicious but I was very disappointed. The baguette could've been cooked a little more (very cold and doughy) and perhaps a bit of spice and texture added to the filling. The rest of the food we had over the 4 days was fantastic!More infoThe Anchor InnPrice: Moderate• British• Bridport•4.7
- JJohnGreater Boston •13 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 5, 2024Breaking the journey to London, Holm is great. Easy parking on-street adjacent to the restaurant. Dog friendly too. Deliciously fresh trout tartare then a pappardelle with a perfectly Italian ragu enriched with chicken livers made an ideal mid-week lunch. (Even a table-side water bowl for the dog). Service was fast and we were on the way again in just over an hour.More infoHolm RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary British• South Petherton•4.8
