- KKittyVIPVancouver / British Columbia •197 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe love coming to Maxine’s during the holidays as their ambiance is so beautiful! The Christmas decor throughout the restaurant really puts you in a festive spirit. We ordered the eggs cocotte, smoked brisket croque madame, mini donuts, affogato and peppermint patty affogato (cocktail), and everything was delicious. It was a little loud with a fussy baby near our table, but overall, the experience was still really lovely. Our server, Nacha, was super friendly and took great care of us. We look forward to coming back soon!More infoMaxine's Cafe & BarPrice: Moderate• French American• West End•4.8

It would have been nice though to have something alongside it - a vegetable or something. We tried to order bread to soak up the delicious jus - the had sold out of their focaccia. They''d also sold out of the wine we wanted to order a bottle of. The starter of duck spring roll roll was good but not memorable. Nice ambience, quite busy and noidy especially for a Tuesday nightMore infoFable KitchenPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Kitsilano•4.6

Food choices is limited but the quality is great! :) While waiting for a friend, even after eating, both host/servers, Luca and this other man (for the life of me I forgot the name...sorry!) were very friendly, attentive, informative and provided us with great suggestions for food. Combine has a very great vibe for people who wants to chat and be allowed to stay longer, without the pressure from servers. I like the interior design of the place as well. Overall, I had a great experience and will be coming back with family and friends 100%!!!More infoCombine Cafe & BarPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Surrey•5
