Best Bistros in Upper Lake

Reve is one of the best restaurants in the East Bay. It’s our go to when we want excellent food, decidedly french that never disappoints. My husband loves their cassoulet which is only available on certain days, but we joined their mailing list so that we rarely miss this dish when it’s available.

From the arrival to our conclusion of the evening the service by Courtney was impeccable. We started with appetizers which consisted of the escargot, oysters, and salad. All quite delicious. We ordered bread to dip into the garlic sauce from the escargot a recommendation. Entrees consisted of delicious chicken and three entrees of sole mangiere over a bed of spinach. We had to have the truffle frees tow orders again delicious! The wine of Sauvignon blanc was delicious Desserts were two orders of pot de creme with butterscotch Great find for our first time eating here!

Bistro Vida is our “go to” in Menlo Park. The food is great, the staff really friendly and helpful. It’s just always a great experience. I highly recommend the sole meunière and the poulet roti for lighter fare. The steaks are great as well. It’s always good to have an enjoyable, high quality alternative that you can count on.

We generally love Burlingame, but have not explored this side. And Park Bistro did not disappoint! I will definitely go back with my husband as there are more dishes and cocktails to try!
