The ambiance transports you to a French village where the staff offer their recommendations, and the chef puts her personal touch on traditional favorites as well as more modern dishes. The fall menu is wonderful, especially the Hokkaido scallops with butternut squash risotto. Plus, save room for the chocolate tart with caramelized bananas or the Ile Flottante.More infoBistro du Marché by TapenadePrice: Expensive• French• La Jolla•4.9
- CCindySan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoTwo friends flew in from out of town & I suggested we try C Level. Neither had been before. It was a sunny gorgeous day & we sat out on the patio. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We ordered the lobster Mac & cheese, fish & chips & shrimp & crab Louie salad. Everything was fresh & flavorful. They loved our lunch & would highly recommend it.More infoC-LevelPrice: Moderate• Cocktail Bar• Downtown•4.7
- AAutumnLos Angeles •2 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 14, 2024Small Barn made my 35th birthday so incredibly memorable!! If you’re looking for a spot that nails both vibe and cuisine, this restaurant absolutely delivers. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance was a dream. Imagine string lights casting a warm glow, beautiful decor, and a posh yet cozy atmosphere that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. We kicked off with starters that blew us away. Each bite of the grilled artichokes paired with a rich garlic herb sauce and shaved goat pecorino was heaven. The ahi tuna in an agave soy marinade was vibrant and fresh, and the king oyster mushrooms in a creamy manchego sauce were next-level delicious. The curry carrot and apple soup brought it all together—smooth, savory, and subtly sweet. Our main courses continued to impress. We shared the seared scallops, which were perfectly cooked with that delicate, translucent center and accompanied by a roasted corn chorizo succotash in a garlic beurre monté—flavorful and unforgettable. The steak frites was cooked to a flawless medium-rare, with a grilled onion vinaigrette that added just the right touch. Every dish looked like it belonged on Chef Gordon Ramsay’s table, artfully plated and full of color. From start to finish, the experience was truly exceptional. Highly recommend this place if you’re after a memorable dining experience with dishes that will have you planning your next visit before you even leave!More infoSmall Barn Old TownPrice: Expensive• Bistro• Temecula•4.5
