Best Bistros in Primrose Hill/Chalk Farm

The food was delicious and the staff were professional and efficient without being overbearing. Excellent. Will definitely come back.

4 of us had the Prixe Fix menu before going to the theatre. We've been to pierre Victoire many times and as always the service was excellent, not rushed. There's a good choice of dishes that never fail to please and all at a reasonable price.

Having walked past this restaurant for decades and always long to go in I was not disappointed. It still has the feel of Soho in the last century but with delicious modern food and a relaxed atmosphere with attentive but not intrusive staff. The drinks in particular are exceedingly good value and the food was perfect – not too fussy but interesting and just slightly more complicated than you’d ever make it home so a real treat to have out. We were delighted with the whole experience.

The experience was outstanding and I wish I could give it 10 stars. The room is beautiful, the service was over the top and everyone enjoyed their meal. I felt like I stepped back in time in the elegant restaurant. The service team never rushed us and seemed genuinely happy to be there just for us. I don’t when I will be back in London but I will be sure to make another reservation to dine at Claridge’s Restaurant.

We had some issues with several of the dishes. In particular it seemed the kitchen, on this occasion, struggled to deliver fish dishes that were not far too overcooked - not great when you're asking for things to be rare or medium. And even if you're not asked (as was the case with one of these dishes) they should not be prepared like that. First time here and whilst not a great fan of the low tables and chairs we had an enjoyable time. Until... ca 2.45pm when all of the restaurant, literally every table, became an afternoon tea party. That drastically changes the end of a lunch experience and not for the better. We decided against having a pudding and more wine and fled the scene. Shame. Standout service delivered by Valentina.
