Best Bars And Lounges in Bolton

Christmas Day and I have to say it was a fabulous decision to go to Fox on John’s. The food was really good, the service was excellent, and the whole atmosphere was just lovely. I particularly like the decor, very comfortable very warm and inviting. 

I enjoy trying cocktails at different bars and restaurants. Different places have different offerings and also offer different takes on the same drink. That is what brought me to Civil Works. I was very happy with the 4 different cocktails I had: - Whiskey Sour (not on the menu but my go to these days) - Spritzilla (I asked to try something sparkling) - Equilibrium (I asked to try one of their most popular drinks, btw it is also an award winning one) - Pounding Sand (I asked for their most beautiful drink) Their snack size food is of great quality (would recommend the sushi tacos charcuterie board) and very reasonably priced. The place is also exceptionally beautifully decorated. On top of all these, they have welcoming and attentive staff who made our evening that much better. We will be back with friends and out of town visitors. Highly recommend.

The restaurant was great, but when we showed up we were informed that the restaurant no longer uses OpenTable and we actually have no reservation.

Tuesday’s are 95 cent wings and they are huge. Minimum of 8, but you might as well get 10. Very filling. The beers are cheaper than most places too. We didn’t know every Tuesday was Trivia night, but that was a fun bonus. A bit louder with the trivia host, but not bad though. Apparently they will start doing karaoke on Saturdays in the new year which I could see being fun just based on the layout of the venue. Overall, I will definitely be coming back here in the future.

We usually have dinner before our Mirvish show and lately we have found that all the restaurants are too loud to have a conversation. Loved that this place was so quiet. We will be back for sure!
