Best Asian Restaurants in Bellaire

Loved everything! The wagyu skewers, agedashi tofu, hamachili roll, incredible service, and the mango and oreo dessert

The restaurant layout and atmosphere was really nice. I enjoyed the Jhené Aiko station like vibe that made this sushi restaurant different. The food was really good. I wish they had more than 1 restroom for the ladies and 1 for the gentleman. I’ll definitely be back.

We had dinner at Makiin with a couple of friends and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. There was a live band playing in the adjacent room behind the bar, so it was a bit loud. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The waiter was attentive & service was good. Since our reservation was at 6 PM (Happy hour ends at 7 PM, I think?), we were able to order some cocktail drinks from the Happy hour menu at 1/2 price (average price was $9 per drink as opposed to $18). We ordered Hua Hin Mango (highly recommended), Mystiny, Pu Lae pineapple drinks & all were quite good. We also had double-order dishes to share — lemongrass chicken skewers, shrimp crispy cakes which was “so so”, hot basil mussel, ocean salad, papaya salad, drunken noodle, and Thai Street noodle magic. My 2 favorite dishes were the ocean salad & hot basil mussels. We were too stuffed by the end of our dinner and did not order dessert. Though, I have had their mango sticky rice dessert previously & it’s quite good.

This was my first time at Uchiko. It exceeded expectations. My guest & I dined Omakase style and the selections were Ahhmazing. There were only a couple that we didn’t like. When we didn’t fully enjoy our server offered replacements-OUTSTANDING service! We did a weekend happy hour which pretty quiet. Parking was easy complimentary valet or self-park. Ummm, yes of course I recommend.
