- TTamiLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoMy family and I went to Somerville on Saturday, Jan 5th and we had an amazing experience. Our server was Hassan and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and had an amazing personality. He joked around with us which made our experience not only enjoyable but real! We began our evening with adult beverages( Love Supreme, Nature Boy, Dunbar and a Golden Age) I am extremely picky about my drink and will send it back in a heartbeat if its not right. No problem here. Mine was the Love Supreme and it was perfect! Everyone was happy with their selection and they were not shy with the amount of liquor that was added. For dinner, we ordered the Parker Rolls, Oysters, Collard Greens Lasagna, Brussel Sprouts, Mary's Organic Roasted Chicken, Chicory Crab Salad, and Somerville Burgers. I sampled everything, but the unanimous favorites were the Parker Rolls and the Collard Greens Lasagna. Be prepared for a 20% tip to automatically be included ( we were a party of 4) I didn't mind this because the service was superb and I would have tipped 20% anyway. We will be back for sure!More infoSomervillePrice: Expensive• American• Culver City•4.6

Not at all. We felt very well cared for throughout. And the prime rib was as excellent as ever. Many thanks to Michael, who gave us a great history lesson - Lawry’s set so many trends. Thanks to everyone at Lawry’s!More infoLawry's The Prime Rib - Beverly HillsPrice: Expensive• Prime Rib• Beverly Hills•4.6
- KKai-NingLos Angeles •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe Culver Hotel has changed and improved their afternoon tea menu. There were pleasant little surprises in the food that I wasn't expecting---a little herbal note here, a little floral accent there (don't want to spoil the surprises), and voila! the food was tasty with interesting little twists. The tea selection was decent (about half a dozen or so) and the quantity was definitely sufficient for a full meal. The ambience was relaxing, not too busy when we were there, so not too noisy. Service is definitely acceptable, not quite white glove, but perfectly passable. And, given its location on the Westside, the price point is reasonable. A nice little hideaway amidst the bustling downtown Culver city. I will be back.More infoLillie's at The Culver HotelPrice: Expensive• French American• Culver City•4.4
- JjohnLos Angeles •37 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoLos Angeles' Soul Food scene has really diminished over the last 30 years, so it's refreshing to have an authentic, high quality soul food experience. We went on New Year's night and the place was PACKED! Even though we were 45 minutes late for our reservation (Rose Bowl traffic), the hostess worked us in and we were seated about 10 minutes after checking in. Our server was very cheerful and knowledgeable about the menu (as was, we later discovered, the busser). We had the Ox Tails (amazingly tender & flavorful, with a touch of umami - not sure if it was Worcestershire or Soy - that gave them tang), Fried Chicken, Red Beans, Okra, Collard Greens, Yams, Corn Bread and Peach Cobbler. The chicken was crispy, yet the breast was still moist, and the red beans were classic. The okra was charred excellently (I usually don't like okra) and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Collards and Yams were authentic southern style. The cobbler was a little syrupy, but tasted great. BUT IT'S THE SERVICE THAT MADE EVERYTHING STAND OUT - from the greeters to the bussers, the staff was amazing, which made the experience all the better.More infoFixins Soul KitchenPrice: Moderate• Soul food• Downtown•4.7

So warm , attentive , intentional and present ! We truly felt like guests in someone's home . The food matched the rest of the sweet vibe at Openaire . If we lived closer we would come more often . h and when we left they also greeted us a warm goodbye and showed appreciation for us coming.More infoOpenairePrice: Expensive• Californian• Koreatown•4.4
