Best American Restaurants in Diamond Springs

Great, as usual! Consistently great food. The Beef Wellington and Scallops are a must! Finish it off with Toffee Pudding and make it a perfect night! Other great dishes include the mushrooms and the mac & cheese. Their recent upgrade literally doubled the size of the dining room and created a more open bar area with multiple hi-tops for those more interested in a casual dining experience. One of the best places to eat in Tahoe!

My wife and I had another fantastic experience here with food and service. While we will be back many times in the future, probably not on a Friday or Saturday because of the substantial noise. It’s so loud in this restaurant that our ears were ringing and our throats were hoarse when we left. You must be at near full volume for your dinner date to at best barely hear you. We sat in our car for a few minutes afterwards just enjoying the silence. It’s a real issue with this restaurant.

Another wonderful experience at The Independent restaurant. What I love about this place is our server was busy serving another table and I was able to get assistance from the other servers who were all willing to just be helpful to everyone. Wonderful atmosphere. And wonderful food. 

All meals were really good...wedge salad, calamari, crab cakes, prime rib, by steak, mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, baked potato fresh bread and glass of Pinot Noir. Waitress did excellent job accommodating special request from us 3 guests.
