Best American Restaurants in Lafayette

We have dined at Casa Orinda’s since 1984….guess that’s 40 years. The food is always very good.| realized I had never ordered the cannelloni appetizer . I was excellent. No surprise. My husband orders the fried chicken. A Casa staple. There is no better. I got the eggplant parmigiana and always enjoy it. There are no bad choices. Our server tonight was Marty along with many others who clear and refill glasses. The staff and team are always attentive, professional and kind. Thank goodness Casa maintains the quality and excellent dining experience.

Everything was very good! Service was impeccable and I loved the ambiance of the whole restaurant. On Valentine’s Day the live singing was a very nice touch 🥰

I took my lady to an early valentine's date. Rainy night! Street parking is challenging, you have to use the parking garage, not too far away. When we got there the hostess set us up at a window seat which was nice except for the fact that it was storming out and the roof leaked right by our table LOL! The service staff was there in an instant and moved us accordingly. The ambiance was warm, fun, and the place is lively! And a bit loud. But the experience was worth it! Overall, we had a great time; the service was excellent, the waiter was knowledgeable-friendly and efficient (Nick). And the food was excellent! I was really delighted cus you just don't get that at many restaurants these days. I had the short ribs that were done perfectly on a bed of with ornately placed vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes. My date had a bowl of steamers and mussels with a flavorful broth, and it was sprinkled with fries...great touch! Our wine choice was their Cote du Rhone red which paired very well with the short ribs. For dessert we had their warmed chocolate cake with gelato, it was great. We will not hesitate to come back.

Everything was great, the cozy warm patio for people who want out door dining, food was good and the hot water with lemon was great for cold night, but just one thing. We wish there was a waitressing training for what is the right distance talking to customers. Some were doing right not too close but some got too close to our face and to our food. Health concerns one shouldn’t talk too close or above to the food.

We always enjoy the Lafayette Park Hotel and the park bistro and bar. My sister and I had a lovely lunch of Campari and soda Caesar salad and the always delicious chicken pita. It was a rainy day and it made the day so much more cheerful.
