    I had my first truly bad meal at Cucina. The sous vide pork chop, double thick bone- in, must have been swimming in hot water for the last few days. Tough and dry. No seasoning of note and minimally charred. The cornbread stuffing was something out of a box and not fully hydrated. The parsnips were ok. The carrots had grill marks, but were barely warm I’m not sure what the purée was since there was too little to taste The plating was good so I’m hoping the chef was just tired from a busy Christmas?

    We had never tried this restaurant but wanted Italian food so after looking at reviews, we decided to make a reservation. We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server was Garrett. He was fantastic with recommendations for wine and entrees. The bread was brought to our table warm with two butter options, plain and balsamic. Our salads were fantastic! Perfectly dressed. Our entrees were very large (hubby had Angel hair pasta with meat sauce and meatballs, I had eggplant Parmesan with Angel hair pasta, great leftovers for today 😊). We ended with dessert. I had decaf coffee (they couldn’t do decaf cappuccino) with my panna cotta, my husband had bomboloni. We will definitely return!

    Restaurant wasn’t busy, took over an hour for food. Ribeye was $50 and average. Chicken paparelle barely had any chicken and the pasta was overcooked and mushy. The prices have gone up significantly and the portions are not what they were.

    Best meal we’ve had there so far! Black drum over spinach risotto was really good. My husband enjoyed the duck and my son loved the chicken with mushrooms.

    Great food- the redfish was very tasty and a big piece. The duck was excellent. The shrimp risotto was great too. Service was very good.
