With a stunningly warm and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a family-run restaurant in Tuscany or Bordeaux, Continental Treat Fine Bistro in Edmonton serves charming continental cuisine. The traditional cheese and potato stuffed pierogis with sour cream and the vegetable-laden red barszcz soup make excellent starter dishes. Some of Continental Treat Fine Bistro's specialty entrée dishes include the marinated pork chop Munich style with smoked sausage and mushrooms in a rich pearl onion sauce, the chicken stroganoff in a creamy tomato sauce with spaetzle, sour cream and diced pickles, the famous Hungarian goulash with tender beef cubes stewed in a rich and fragrant paprika sauce and the rainbow trout with seasoned with lemon, dill and capers, pan fried until crisp and golden. Continental Treat Fine Bistro also serves an excellent array of beers and wines from across the globe; the perfect accompaniment to the hearty and rustic fare.

                                                                                                Really great food. You wouldn’t know it was all celiac safe. Nice selection and amazing to have a dedicated gluten free restaurant with such good food. I haven’t had gluten-free pierogies in years. The desserts are also amazing.

                                                                                                We have eaten here many times previously, but it had been a year since last time. Service was very good. Although it was very cold outside the restaurant was reasonably warm - thanks to the faux fireplaces at each table. The food did seem to be not as good as previously. The chicken schnitzel seemed smaller, the mashed potatoes were tasteless even with the mushroom sauce. The brownie desert was yummy.

                                                                                                Reservation time was honored. Service was prompt and attentive. Steak Tartare was very good. Pork schnitzel was good, however, portion size was lacking. Overall, a good visit on a crazy New Year's Eve.

You get what you pay for and the food is authentic and quality ingredients. Service makes you feel special. Desserts are great too. Great selection of cocktails, wine and German beer.
