We had a reservation and were promptly seated when we arrived. Our server was very attentive and the food arrived at a very timely manner. Turkey dinner was wonderful and the chicken pot pie was very tasty. I would definitely visit again.

We had a very nice experience at the Cock and Bull. Our waitress Natalia was great. The food was delicious, and the holiday lights outside made it a very memorable night. I highly recommend the Maple Walnut Cheesecake!

My friend and I decided on a having a special girls birthday lunch at this restaurant that has been around for years and brings back childhood memories of my family making the trip down from Bergen County NJ to enjoy a then much smaller Peddler’s Village and a beef burgundy in a sourdough bread bowl that was always delicious and comforting. The food and service here is always consistently very good and worth the trip. Our waitress, Eileen was outstanding. We asked if the bar made peppermint martinis and were told no so we ordered the “special” holiday peppermint drink. We were so happy when she returned with 2 beautiful peppermint martinis that the bartender made special for us. We started with the trio of dips, whipped feta, a caramelized onion dip and a “martini dip” that was tasty but very loose like a dressing rather than a dip. They came with sliced cucumbers which was nice but ignored due to the outstanding homemade (?) ripple potato chips that were addicting. I had the chicken pot pie which, while generous with the chicken was more like a soup. It had an unremarkable puff pastry top - I would have preferred a traditional pie crust top or a nice biscuit. My friend had the brisket grill cheese which was outstanding with generous tender meat and cheese. We finished with another expresso martini for her and a lovely butterscotch pudding with homemade whipped cream on the side. Eileen thoughtfully brought out a small piece of birthday cake with a candle to enjoy also. This was a late Friday afternoon lunch so the huge dining room was relatively quiet thus giving us a lovely, relaxing dining atmosphere which was appreciated. Can’t wait to return in a bit nicer weather. Enjoy!

The older hostess at the door is a treasure. I would come here just to watch her work! Hope she never retires not sure they could run the restaurant without her, especially at the holidays. Be sure to ask her what her menu recommendations are, she will never steer you wrong!

There may have been a time when this restaurant was the “happening place “ to go in Peddler’s Village , but not anymore. The menu was boring and old fashioned, choice of appetizers was like eating in old England during the times of knights. No bread was brought or offered, we had to ask. Entree options weren’t any better, still felt like we were part of a dinner scene at Games of Thrones. The entree came with only one side, and the portions of both were insufficient; no need for the place to carry take home containers for left overs, we were still so hungry we stopped at nearby Wawa for hoagies. Now, for this we paid an outrageous price which is why I could not pass on the opportunity to share this experience. Sometimes , things can be overlooked if the price is reflective of what you get, but not in this instance. The Cock & Bull needs to shape up and spruce up their menu from top to bottom and be worthy of the price tag.

Love the dinning room with all the windows. The view of the lights on the trees was mesmerizing. My husband and I celebrated bringing in the New Year 2025 at The Cock and Bull. Limited menu but didn't disappoint us.
