   Went for my birthday last night was sat right away (with a reservation), we ordered an appetizer of steak bites which was amazing, my husband ordered clam chowder and fish and chips which he was very happy with, unfortunately I on the other hand ordered a prime rib medium done, it came well done dry with no flavor. I only ate about half of it. Definitely not worth the amount that they are charging for it. Service was amazing though very attentive.

   We have been going to Clinkerdagger's for almost 30 years. We have learned that sitting at the bar is ALWAYS the best option - the service is faster and the food tends to come out more quickly and always hot. We had a minor in our party so we couldn't sit in the bar - it was almost 30 minutes before we were seated. When our food came out, only four of the six dishes were brought out; two of us had to wait another 5-7 minutes before our meals were delivered. The food was good and the service was competent but I don't think I will be sitting in the dining area if I can avoid it.

   We will not return to Clinkerdagger. Our reservation was made several weeks in advance, so we were looking forward to a river view seat. We were seated at what they called "window seating" on the opposite side of the restaurant (a beautiful winter scene of snow and icicles, then beyond that old dirty buildings and parking lots. Very disappointing, as we scheduled for a Valentine's date. The best thing about our dinner was the garlic butter bread (apparently free before the meal). $125 later and we left hungry (after consuming overcooked seafood and no alcoholic beverages). The staff was very friendly and service was quick, but we expected more for the 5 star prices.

   We went here for our wedding anniversary. The Prime Rib and Steak were delicious. Creme Brule had the perfect crust and texture. Despite being busy the atmosphere was still cozy and quiet. Perfect place for a special dinner celebration. Staff was attentive but also gave a lot of space.

   The views were great, the supper club ambience terrific, my son loved the burger and fries, but my fish (delicious) and risotto dish was odd, with bleu cheese and cranberries. Just make sure you read the details. :-)

   Food and atmosphere was fantastic, but the best part of the experience was our waiter! Sean was fun, professional, knowledgeable, and attentive! Will definitely be back and ask for his section!

    I regret to say that my recent dining experience at Clinkerdagger did not meet expectations. We had reservations for the Valentine's Day dinner for two at 4:00 PM ($125) and were seated promptly, which was appreciated. Our server initially provided a warm and welcoming experience, but unfortunately, the service and food quality quickly declined. Our appetizer took nearly 30 minutes to arrive (27 minutes, to be exact), and before we had a chance to enjoy it, our salads were brought out. After that, our server was noticeably absent—I had to flag him down just to order dessert. At no point did he check on our meals, ask how we were doing, or offer drink refills. Our entrées were delivered by a runner, and while my steak was grilled to perfection (medium rare, as requested), the rest of the meal was disappointing. The mashed potatoes were cold, and the shrimp were overcooked and possibly prepared in advance, as they were cold, blackened on one side, and rubbery. To conclude the meal, I ordered the molten cake, which unfortunately was overcooked, leaving it as nothing more than a dry chocolate cake with no molten center. I have had enjoyable experiences at Clinkerdagger in the past (one of the main reasons I chose it for Valentine's dinner), but this visit fell far below expectations, both in service and food quality. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration to improve future dining experiences.
