What a great experience! We had a reservation at 600pm and we're ushered into a small dining room of about 8 tables and greeted by two ladies in period garb. They presented the menus and shared historical tidbits. The food was amazing! Crab cakes and Seafood Pye, Fairced Oysters, lettuces from the garden, and trifle for dessert! Punch bowls to share with the table and unique non-alcoholic offerings as well. A bit pricey, but well worth the experience!

Everything was wonderful. Great experience all around. The seafood pie, while excellent, was extremely rich.

One goes to the restaurants in Williamsburg for the wonderful experience of going back in time. And Christiana’s delivers on that score. My husband got the fried chicken which was almost inedible. Seemed it had been prepared hours before and warmed up under a heat lamp. It was as dry as cardboard. The pea soup however was outstanding as was the salad. Our server acknowledged our displeasure but didn’t offer us anything.

We sat by a rowdy crowd who had obviously enjoyed their dinner and especially the drinks. It was a tavern so it can be a bit loud. The food was expensive but actually worth the price. The entertainment was an added plus. I would return again, but need to save up for it

One of our favorite places to eat! You get totally immersed in Colonial Williamsburg, and the food is so good. Sweet potato rolls are almost worth the visit all by themselves.

Authenticity was amazing from the staff to the food to the entertainment. We feel transported back in time as we enjoyed the seafood dishes for which the tavern is noted. Seafood pye was full of well cooked fish and shellfish with a lovely lobster flavored sauce and the crab cakes consisted of very little besides the crab and a lemony seasoning. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back!

The food and service were excellent. Unfortunately the acoustics are awful. It was hard to converse at all. At first I assumed there were noisy diners there. Even after they left, though, the servers made a terrible racket by clearing that table. A violinist came around playing tunes. That was charming but again just too darned loud. If you would like to speak with your companion, eat some place else.

We’ve been coming here for a special dinner over 30 yrs of visits! Never been disappointed - food was delicious and beautifully presented. My husband had seafood pie and I had potato’s dumplings . I was surprised on the flavors and light butter sauce and tomatoes in the dish - we ate everything! Spoon bread and sweet potato muffins were excellent as usual. I had the Monticello cocktail which was tart with fresh lemon and strawberries and Prosecco just delicious.
