   Need reservations … don’t sit in the back it is too tight and very high noise level … plus they stack the empty plates behind you … food was ok … a bit over priced service was good

   Excellent Colonial experience! My steak was good but didn’t seem like prime $58. The service and entertainment was special! My wife enjoyed the fish!

   We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and meal and the food was good. Our server was excellent! Of course, I realize that Colonial Williamsburg is a tourist destination and prices are going to be higher, but I do think the current prices are excessive. A seafood dinner for two with no alcohol ordered should not cost $130.

   The consistency over the years is remarkable. As a frequent visitor to Colonial Williamsburg, dinner here is usually part of the experience. Tonight the availability of an early reservation helped make the choice. Once seated, I was pleasantly welcomed and walked through the menu, settling on pea soup and fried whole trout, both of which I’ve had previously and they were exactly as expected. The trout was substantial and filling but also very light.

   This was such a nice experience of 1700’s food, ambience and employee attire! The food was amazing. I recommend the Seafood Pye.

   Amazing Food served is a great way, with our server Misha giving us some history of the restaurant and Colonial Williamsburg! Such original dishes that tasted extraordinary

   The food and service in the main restaurant as well as the cellar were excellent. Don’t miss grabbing a drink and appetizer downstairs in the cellar. The pimento cheese dip was great. Upstairs, we enjoyed the crab cakes, seafood pot pie, and fried chicken. The sweet potato muffins are amazing! And don’t miss dessert- chocolate tart and chocolate ice cream. Everyone was really nice, from the host stand, greeters, servers, to the musician. A gem in Colonial Williamsburg.

    The muffins, spoon bread, shrimp cocktail, and seafood pie were delicious. I was disappointed in the steak, which was served medium well. I had ordered medium. Service by Tatiana was excellent.
