   Really nice place with old Chicago vib. Great menu and equally great food. Nice ample bar that sits in middle of everything and is very comfortable. Steaks are first class and so are the sides. Definitely a go back there again.

   We celebrated a birthday at the Chicago Chop House. Our server Josh was fantastic. He was polite, knowledgeable and friendly. We had the lobster escargot based on his recommendation and it was phenomenal. We had the cesar salad, tomahawk, truffle Mac and cheese as well as our unexpected favorite chicken in an indescribable lemon butter sauce.

   Poor service with Jose. Took our drink order and then came back 20 minutes later to say “are you ready to order?” Really treated us like a bother and annoyance. For a $500 tab that equals a $100+ tip, the server should have offered more than “are you ready to order” and then 40 minutes later before we’ve barely touched our food “can I get you boxes?”. Have been there a few times and already a great experience and awesome servers. I really hyped the place up to my friend I brought, and he was disappointed too. **Appreciate the restaurants response, but really ruined any remaining respect I had for the place. “For 10 minutes the table stopped dining”…. We hadn’t even touched our food yet. Really? My friend and I were talking for the first time in 5 years….yes, we went for periods of time without eating. This isn’t an Applebees. We don’t need to be in and out. We aren’t paying $500+ to be rushed. Awful that you defend a server that did not say more than 5 words to us the two hours we were at that table, if even that. It was an 830 reservation and at 930 you were closing up around us. I know for a fact your servers are supposed to go through the menu, not walk up and say “are you ready to order”, as the first thing said to you. Very disappointing response and changing my rating to reflect that. Do better.

   A classic Chicago experience. A restaurant we should visit more often. Classic Italian style Chicago steak family sharing style. Great to be away from the chains and meet the locals. Highly recommended. Steak and salmon cooked to perfection. Our servers were very attentive and fun. How refreshing to see people enjoy their jobs.

   Josh was our server and the knowledge he had of the menu was outstanding. First time eating here and this has now become one of our favorite spots. Looking forward to dining there in the future.

   Dry-Aged Steaks were delicious. Good wine selection and nice ambience.

    Generally speaking, we're not steakhouse people. We tend to be more ethnic restaurants, neighborhood cafes sort. That being said, we had a wonderful dinner at the Chicago Chop House. Service was exemplary with our waitress, Grace, being knowledgeable, helpful, friendly without being intrusive. My husband's filet was melt-in-the-mouth delicious, I took a dive and had my first prime rib in 20 years (superb!), and the ambience just right for a steakhouse.
