Inside a Victorian home, Executive Chef Stan Michalski is pleased to join the culinary team as Executive Chef as of January 2024, bringing his vast Michelin experience and passion for locally-sourced ingredients to further Chez TJ’s exceptional legacy. With over 15 years of experience, Stan brings Chez TJ not just culinary mastery, but a deep love of hospitality—believing what matters most is bringing people together over a delicious meal.

Wonderful dinner, exquisite food as in the past. Wine pairing was overpriced. The "low-end" wine pairing for $175 plus about 30% equates to about $75 per glass of wine. The wines served were good but not that high end.

Absolutely amazing experience. All of the food was superb, plate after plate. The presentation was fantastic for every plate. The service was very very good as well, and all of the staff were very nice and accommodating.

Don't get the still water thinking it is free. Ask for tap H2O or pay $12/per person. The cheapest bottle of wine is $60 and I didn't like it. You might ask why I would penny pinch at a place where I plan to spend $225 per person but i tell you. Even poor people like food and we decided to take a once in a lifetime experience. We were impressed with the serving dishes-so pretty. The food was good but any meats were all cooked almost raw. This was good for two of our party but not the other two. Ask how they like their food cooked perhaps? I got to try caviar and antelope which I really liked. The sauces were fantastic. The servers were all lovely but rushed. I really wanted the time taken to explain what we were eating. When I asked for them to repeat, they did tell me. We had high expectations and with those standards, Chez TJ performed well but we do not think we will go back. The cost of our dinner would pay for a trip for four of us to got to a vacation for a week. Maybe i will learn to cook Antelope.

It was the most amazing culinary experience!! Cannot thank the staff and chef Stan for the most memorable evening. A brief visit by the chef at our table was icing on the cake. Truly a talented executive chef… Must return soon!

Service is excellent. Food tastes on par with the 1 Michelin star though not exceptional. Chef's Garden menu costs $140/pp, too little food. Entrées are very small. I don't eat a lot. 4 course Pre-Fixe menus in any other restaurants including fine dining restaurants would be more than enough for me. Not Chez TJ. Not sure about the full tasting menu, definitely would not recommend Chef's Garden Menu. Don't be fooled by only $140 pre-fixed menu from a Michelin star restaurant. I'd rather the restaurant raise the price and provide decent amount of food.

One of the best Michelin star experiences in the bay. Food is consistently good, wine list and sommelier are top notch, service is highly competent but relaxed and warm.

Lovely birthday dinner for my wife at Chez TJ. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the tasting menu and even got a little extras did we really appreciated. We had a wonderful time and we are sure to be back.
