   We had a warm welcome on arrival. Menus brought quickly with a smile. Orders taken and drinks arrived appropriately. Not a long wait for anything yet you never felt rushed. The food was excellent - very well cooked and tasty. The restaurant became busier as the evening progressed, the servers were efficient, professional and friendly. We really enjoyed our meal at Chez Lindsay. If in Richmond in future, we would certainly go there again.

   Always a local favourite - excellent food and wine and a lovely atmosphere at a very reasonable price.

   Enjoyed the food and staff friendly. The place just felt grubby, table was sticky although we had seen them clean it before we sat down. Possibly have table cloths or even paper ones like in France , as it’s a French restaurant.

   I went to Chez Lindsay a few years ago so was looking forward to going back with my partner for his birthday. I was quite disappointed, the restaurant is now quite run down, the only saving grace was the food. I am sure it used to have table cloths on the tables? There was not even flowers on the tables for valentines and they could not even accept a request for a liqueur coffee, even though they sold both separately! There is a lot of competition in Richmond, so I really think they should make more of an effort to keep up their standards, especially the toilets.

Regarding your request about irish coffee, unfortunatly it is not on the menu and we don't carry the right ingredients to do it properly.    Chez Lindsay, located at 11 Hill Rise in Richmond, is a charming French bistro that has been delighting patrons for over 35 years. Specializing in Breton cuisine, the restaurant offers a variety of galettes (savory buckwheat crepes) and crêpes, as well as an array of seafood dishes. The ambiance is cozy and romantic. This restaurant is a really hidden gem. We started with Escargots de Bourgogne Snails with garlic & parsley butter, followed by Filet de Flétan Pan fried halibut fillet, grilled Tiger Prawn, piperade, caviar beurre blanc & Specials : Lamb Shank with dauphinoise potatoes. This meal was superb !!

   Catch up dinner with a friend. Both had the halibut which was cooked to perfection. No problem swapping potatoes for chips for one diner. Service was efficient and friendly. All in all a truly enjoyable evening.

   We were there for a family lunch. Food, service and value were extremely good. The dining area was a bit on the cold side which is why we gave only three stars for ambience. A couple of degrees warmer and it would have been perfect. We’ll definitely be back soon, which is probably the best recommendation we could give. Thank you.

   Lovely good and really helpful and professional staff. Nice setting with views of the river if you get a table near the windows. My only negative comment is that some of the food was not very hot, but the scallops and the liver and bacon were delicious, and my companions all thought their food was delicious too.
