Serving spirited Pan-Latin cuisine, Cascal is a place to meet and linger with friends over enticing foods with bold flavors and personality from Spain and Latin-America. From Paellas to Ceviches to Cuban Pork, we have options for everyone. There vegetarian and vegan options available as well.

                    Had lunch here with a friend. We shared 2 tapas dishes, the eggplant and the shrimp with garlic. Both was delicious and we had plenty to eat. Service was outstanding!

                    We ordered mostly from the happy hour menu: roasted cauliflower, tuna crostini, fried olives (yum!), chips with black bean dip and queso fundido. All excellent. Particularly liked the Oaxaca a Mano salad, and the tamarind mezcal margarita. Because we arrived at 5:30, everything was served to us quickly, before the end of happy hour. Not sure why that was important to them, but it didn't matter to us. They were packed by the time we left, and that was on a Wednesday night. Just steps from Mountain View Center for the Arts; convenient for a show.

                    The room is lovely but noise level makes conversation difficult. Octopus was cooked perfectly; but the sauce labeled puttanesca was just tomato sauce, although tasty. Crispy potatoes side was great but only a garnish; since potatoes are cheap larger portion would improve at minimal cost. Herb olive oil was a nice amuse bouche but would benefit from added balsamic vinegar. Hope these issues can be improved!
