Food is amazing very expensive but you are paying for the Stanley. All sides are separate price as well. Steak was cooked perfectly and salad dressing was good. Broccoli was cold

We had a great time. Enjoyed meeting Serge, our waiter from Ukraine. Food was good. Seated us near an electrical outlet which I needed for my oxygen production.

I hate leaving this review because, historical, I've had great experiences at Cascades. The wait staff were friendly enough, but the service was impossibly slow and poor. A charcuterie board to start and no plates delivered. A ribeye that was cold by the time it got to me, and drink service that had empty glasses for 15 minutes. All for an average of $150 per person. Utterly shameful for the brand.

This restaurant is taking advantage of it’s location in the Stanley Hotel. We sat in the bar but could see the restaurant. Previewing the menu lead me to believe this would be a “fine dining” experience but it was not. They don’t know how to make a Cosmo, tasted like only lime juice. Cobb salad was good but was not delivered with extra dressing on the side as requested, until asked again. Lamb lollipops were good. The ambiance is lacking.

Great setting and experience. Food just OK for the price. Annoyed by the $25 charged for separate checks and including a baby as an extra person to push the mandatory tip up to 25%. Come on!

Food: Nothing was bad and somethings were very good. 1. Shrimp cocktail didn't come with traditional shrimp cocktail sauce, so still craving it. However, the shrimp were good and so we're the alternative sauces. 2. Ceaser salad was fine, not my favourite but not bad. 3. Charcuterie board could have used cheese, they have a separate cheese board but who wants two boards. 4. BBQ 1/2 Chicken was surprisingly good, just a tad dry. Service and atmosphere: Not good, this is a fail that we didn't expect. I made a reservation for 2 in OpenTable and indicated it was for our 5 year anniversary. I selected a normal table as opposed to bar or high table. We were greeted by the host with: "do you want some food?" I replied with we have a reservation for Last name. She asked if we wanted a bar or high table. I already indicated this in my reservation but okay, I replied a regular table. She took us to a table at the bar, when the main restaurant was almost empty. Our server was ok but not super friendly or professional. No one asked us if we were there for a special occasion or mentioned what I put in the notes. If we were in Estes and just needed a decent meal, this would have been fine. Not bad for a tourist trap. However, I did regret picking it for a special occasion. Very sad, as the Stanley is such a wonderful property with so much potential and has sentimental value to us. I wish they would pivot from giving horror tours to tourists to a 5 star historic hotel they were meant to be, you know like in Dumb and Dumber, as opposed to acting Dumb and Dumber. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Gorgeous setting and wonderful atmosphere. Service was great with friendly employees. The aged ribeye was worth the experience alone.
