About this restaurant

  • Good for groups
  • Good for special occasions
  • Charming
This intimate, small restaurant has the spirit and the charm you would find on Italy and other countries off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Chef Daniele Dotti, a native of Venice, has created an eclectic menu that brings to the table the flavors, the traditional recipes and the freshness of ingredients so typical of this region. Our Mediterranean Branzino is delicious but if you are in the mood for good pasta, try our Linguine Fruti di Mare with a variety of sea food and fresh tomato or our special house made fresh pasta Fettucine Casanova. Now you can enjoy all of this right in the middle of the Grand Canal Shoppes.

The atmosphere and the decor are informal and friendly and children are welcome, but at night it can be ideal for a good glass of wine and a romantic dinner.

Casanova Restaurant, located in the Venetian Hotel, offers "great value" with delicious Italian dishes like linguini and lamb, according to some diners. Except for the waitstaff who were terrific, this is an absolutely terrible restaurant. I honestly can’t understand any of the favorable reviews and those who actually compared it favorably to food in Italy. We had the meatballs for a starter. They were very bland, but tolerable with the red sauce. We also had the chicken Parmesan, which was also bland and tasted like it was bad frozen chicken even with the cheese and sauce. It reminded me of high school cafeteria food. Lastly, we tried one of the pizzas. Again, not very tasty, but better than the other two dishes. Perhaps some of the favorable reviews are from people accustomed to bland diets. I am surprised this restaurant is still in business as it is one of the lowest quality meals of any cuisine we have had in recent memory. The other restaurants were booked at the hotel so we decided to give it a chance. There was a reason that it wasn’t very busy. I feel bad for issuing such a harsh critique, but perhaps the feedback will help improve the cuisine quality.

Very close to the guest elevators along the canal. Great location, incredible food! Possibly the best Cioppino I have ever had.

Big parties at most of the tables which detracted from service (didn’t get my appetizer) - was extremely noisy (thought I was at a soccer match) - waiter was very sorry - I think the foot was good and a very good value. Might try again for lunch on a less busy day.

I read the reviews and took a chance, but our group of 13 had no complaints. We were all happy with our food and the service and would definitely go back.

The server was nice. The price was great. It’s located inside the Venetian hotel. Next to the food court. The chicken with tomato sauce was tasty and not too salty.

Food is ok. Vegas pricing makes you think it is on par with other restaurants but it is not.

The service was great. The food was plentiful, flavorful and tasty. There were only 3 tables of guests. I don’t know why but I would go back. Unfortunately they couldn’t serve pizza though. Said they ran out of ingredients.

Our first time dining at Casanova Restaurant. Very difficult to find. No signs directing us where to go. The menu choices and value was good. The lamb chops were tough. The veal picata was dry, lukewarm, and also not tender. VERY disappointed! No plans to return.

We were seated on time, but this was the only positive experience here. We waited 10 minutes to even be approached by our server. The hostess gave us menus when we were seated, but no drink menu, so when the waiter finally took our order and asked if we wanted any drinks I was not about to drag this experience out any longer by having to peruse an additional menu. We were seated at an exterior table so I had the entertainment of people watching, which included a view of Lobster Me. This left me wishing we had gotten up from our table and walked over there to eat instead. This was only reaffirmed when our food finally arrived and my husband’s dinner (penne and meatballs) was hot, while my margherita pizza was lukewarm with cold spots throughout. Not only was the pizza cold, but the crust was as flavorful as a saltine cracker. We ate here before a show, so I wasn’t needing for it to be the experience of a lifetime since it was mostly functional, but if I had to do it over again, I’d make dinner at home and then go to the show.
