   We ordered Bloody Mary drinks 18.00 each tasteless. Should have stuck with Sangria. The salad was large but mostly lettuce. The shrimp scampi breading was soggy. The penne and meat sauce was good but had more penne than sauce. The two other plates was plentiful but overall experience was not up to the high standards we have come to love at Carmines at their other location’s. DC you need to step it up and take some notes from your other restaurants.

   Service had food arrive before we had plates on the table. Waited for a wine glass that was return dirty. We had all our friends wait to do a toast waited 10 min. Waitress not knowledgeable about Italian food. Answering I don’t know is not a correct answer.

   We had angel hair pasta with sausage thst was very good. Carmine’s salad, which was very fresh, was a bit intimidating given it’s large size. Our server was very attentive. Only 2 complaints: we weren’t given menus because the menus are posted on the walls, but not in a location where we could read them; ladies room trash can was full snd there were paper towels all over the floor.

   The kids loved the spaghetti and meatballs and the adults enjoyed the shrimp fra diablo over angel hair pasta.

   We had an amazing experience! The food was amazing and the portions were massive (we had plenty of leftovers with our party of 3). We ordered the lasagna, calamari and Caesar salad/all were great! The drinks were also fantastic. The service was even better than the food. Ty, the manager, stopped by our table to check in and our waitress, Valentina, was so sweet and went the extra mile. Even the hostess or my phone on the charger as it was dying. Just an amazing experience overall

    The food was good. Not great, not bad, just very average. Portions are huge (and $$) so it really only makes sense to come here with a big group that all wants to eat the same thing. We didn’t see our server too much and had to ask for the bread that comes with it and I had to flag someone down to take my payment at the end. We had 2 adults and 4 kids and got spaghetti and meatballs, manicotti, and a kids butter noodles. None of the kids liked the butter noodles but they did like the manicotti. They loved the dessert (an ice cream/cherry/chocolate one)
