    Outstanding Homemade Pappardelle Pasta with Vodka sauce!! Lasagna was perfect! Haley took excellent care of us and the Owner came to our table to make sure all was well!! Bar area was excellent, cocktails were very good and the Bar Tenders were amazing! we 're from the Chicago area, but I would highly recommend stopping here if you are int the South Bend area!! Or just drive there for dinner!!

    Bruschetta and Chicken Involtini are must-haves. Very delicious. Service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. Nice to have complementary bread with meal.

    We love dining at Carmela's. The food is wonderful and service is outstanding. A friendly and welcoming setting for the two of us and also welcoming for the larger group that was there.

    Our server was lovely and our table was ready as we requested, which was appreciated as our son is temporarily using a wheelchair and the restaurant had left a seat open to accommodate the chair. The service was cheerful and knowledgeable, and our entrees were wonderful—the gnocchi, veal parmigiana and rigatoni bolognese all were delicious. Well prepared meals in a lovely environment, with absolutely no pretension.!dining here is a delight!

    Out waitresses was sub-par there was 1 tale that got seated at the same time as us and had their main course before we even got our order taken. The cadence of the entire service was out of wack. Our drink order was taken and apps order taken but we still had our menus and hadn’t even ordered anything when the apps were delivered. 2 other tables were seated after us about 15 minutes and had their drinks and apps before our main course arrived.

    Our party consisted of 4 and we ordered 3 different meals (2 people had the same choice). All entrees were decent but nothing was outstanding. We had high expectations based on the reviews we saw. I'd return to this restaurant but it won't be one of my favorites.
