Caleb's American Kitchen is a popular BYO New American restaurant helmed by Chef Caleb Lentchner. Consistently good food. The ambiance isn’t great, but that’s not what you come for. We were seated in the lower part of the dining room and the temp was a little too warm but it’s hard to control. Wonderful service. We have gone here for years and are never disappointed.

Something is happening here at Caleb’s. The food, once outstanding, is not as good as it once was. I ordered the “3 Scoops” which I’ve seen others get and which seemed really great. But it wasn’t. The egg salad was just kind of strange but the shrimp salad—I am not exaggerating—was 3 mini canned shrimp with chopped tomato. That’s it. It was beyond disappointing. Everyone who had them liked their omelettes and another liked their special frittata. The coffee was not hot. My husband’s omelette was watery—they hadn’t drained the spinach? Not sure we will rush to return.
