Cafe Luxembourg is offering reservations for indoor dining. Walk-Ins are welcome. Our Outdoor Cafe is complete with rain-proof awnings, fans, and electric heaters for your comfort. *Per the rules and regulations of the DINING OUT NYC Program, Outdoor Seating will be limited beginning 11.01.24. Weather permitting, outdoor tables will be first-come, first-served.

Due to demand, we are unable to hold your reservation past the time it has been booked. If you are not present at the time of your reservation, we will offer the table to waiting guests. If you are running late or wish to cancel, please call us at 212-873-7411. We look forward to seeing you soon.

The safety and welfare of our employees and guests is a top priority.
Cafe Luxembourg has newly installed Merv13 filters, installed in all ducts. The filters trap 98% of airborne particles as small as .3 microns The air is not recycled but forced fresh air.

Classic neighborhood favorite that has more than stood the test of time. Service both friendly and impeccable, drinks excellent and generous, food dandy. Tables are very close together but there’s a convivial feel that makes it seem totally normal to chat with your neighbors. Oysters and mussels excellent, steak tartare fine. Reservations imperative but it’s still an authentic UWS treasure that knows exactly what it’s about, after all these years.

Very pleasant ambiance but tables are very close together and when it's peak dining hour it get quite noisy. Service excellent and food generally quite good but not consistently.

If you find a better value in the city, let alone on the upper West Side, please let me know. I'm always impressed by the quality of both the food and the service. It is not easy to be attentive without being intrusive. The staff at Cafe Luxembourg has apparently mastered that talent. As for the kitchen, they've been scoring 10's for as long as I can remember. I'm very appreciative of being able to enjoy a restaurant like this, where the food and service are both consistently superior and at a price that is most assuredly reasonable.

Service and setting were wonderful. Moules frites were great but the burger lacked flavor and the bottom bun was completely soggy.

Food is always great. What’s not great is the difficulty management seems to have with customer service. Requesting a table away from the kitchen in an almost empty restaurant was treated like a major inconvenience. We were told to “wait back at the hostess stand” until they could see if they could accommodate us, even though we had a reservation. I saw two other diners go through the same ordeal. The time before this, the chef actually refused a simple request to remove salmon skin from my order before cooking. These are not overly demanding requests, and should be easy to accommodate. This has always been a great neighborhood restaurant, but their policies are infringing on decent customer service.

Cafe Luxembourg has an upbeat, yet intimate aura all its own. The service was impeccable, and all the staff worked in perfect concert to delight their clientele. The Crème Brûlée was outstanding! It was the best I’ve ever had.

Having been to Cafe Luxembourg several years ago, I was looking forward to a great dinner before a show. The restaurant seemed to be the same, still a pretty brasserie style interior and a friendly staff. The service was outstanding, prompt, attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food in my option was only mediocre on this visit. We were both disappointed with our entrees, a roast chicken and a steak frites. We are unsure if we will visit again on our next trip to NYC.
