   Lovely building, food was on the main quite good, however some of the cakes were a bit dry…we had a lovely lady serving us who had broken her toe and was still very attentive, although there was a male server who clearly needed some deodorant! And no Christmas music whilst having a rather expensive festive afternoon tea! 😟 Will definitely try somewhere else next year.

   The Byfords Festivi-Tea was excellent. From the savoury bites, to the festive sandwiches, the small cakes were a delight, who knew you could have a mince pie macaron, it really worked. Thanks for a fabulous afternoon and to your wonderfully trained, friendly, attentive staff. Look forward to seeing you all again in March, we have golden tickets to redeem too.

   Realised we hadn't eaten out together for a long time and so booked a table and enjoyed some of the new items on the winter menu - highlight was the salmon pasta dish. Happy and full, we left with our Golden Tickets, ready to return in 2025.

   The festive afternoon tea was delicious and filling, we took advantage of the availability of having some Rose Champagne for an additional cost, this too was very nice. We both had two pots of tea ( one house tea, the other Assam ) These were a great accompaniment to the food. The service was very good, both polite and prompt.

   Service was poor. Booked for husbands birthday morning special made of it at all. Service appalling. Asked for tea three times and bill four. Loud, chaotic and really upset I booked it for his special day.

   Lovely festive feeling location. Staff friendly and helpful. We had booked the afternoon tea, which on arrival turned out to be a Festive afternoon tea. Food was good quality and plentiful, more than we could eat and the staff were happy to box up so we could take the rest home. At £32 a person we did feel it was a bit pricey.

    We had a delicious festive afternoon tea at Byfords with our three children. The food was scrumptious. The setting was lovely and our booth cosy but no Christmas decs to make it feel Christmassy in the booth which I was expecting given the description. The only thing that could have made our visit a little more special would be if the waiters/waitresses were a little more attentive. We found it difficult in the booth to catch their attention when we wanted to order more drinks and when we order the extra complimentary sandwiches these took a long time to come and were not what we had asked for. Given the time it took for them to come we decided not to say anything. We also found that once we had asked for the bill it didn’t come so we went up to pay because the children were becoming restless. There were a lot of people waiting in the corridor and next to our booth who had not booked and wanted a table. Some of them were complaining, this was taking a lot of the waiters away from the people who had booked which was frustrating. All in all though I would definitely return as the food alone was wonderful. A little festive music would have been a lovely extra touch!
