   I sent my brother and wife to dinner for their wedding anniversary. They both returned home with boxes. My sister in law said it was "terrible and my brother said "just okay" The creme brulee was cold and the next table insisted theirs be warmed up, which ended up not so good. Being MD natives, the 3 of us agreed the crabcake left a lot to be desired. I found it to have way to much filller that ruined flavor and consistency and had that fishy aftertaste which just shouldn't be. They will not be returning and based on their experience I might never try. Of course I was saddened my gift did not live up to the expectation of a fine dining experience. I was not going to leave a review because it's negative, but the owners should be made aware because it's just the right thing to do.

   Everything we got was delicious! Steaks, crab cakes, pork, appetizers, drinks. Service excellent too. We love By the Docks!

   Very good dining experience with friends!! Food was tasty and presented well. Service was also spot on! Nice atmosphere also! Will definitely dine here again!

   We were visiting the area from Michigan, and a local acquaintance recommended this restaurant. It was great. Food was excellent, and our server was amazing! Would not hesitate to come back if we are in the area again!

   Came in as a family of 6 and had a great dining experience. My kids are picky eaters and they cleaned their plates. Crab cakes were phenomenal.
