My wife and I have never had a unpleasant experience at Bonny & Read, the service has always been good, the ambiance has been pleasant and the noise level has always allowed for conversation without shouting. I seem to gravitate towards the coupino because it has never disappointed and frankly it's better then what I had on the San Francisco fisherman's wharf. Last night my wife decided to try the Halibut she was quite disappointed she said it was mushy like it had been frozen and heated up then some hollandaise sauce put on top to help disguise it.

Great wine selection with happy hour discounts! And Delicious food!! We shared the stuffed mushrooms appetizer, which was a much larger portion than we expected & SO tastey!!! Then we shared the Halibut topped with lobster, which was also perfect!! The service was also attentive and helpful.

Always a great experience here. Coming from the Pacific Northwest, this is the best Halibut in town! Service is outstanding!

I was looking forward to the Prime Rib Friday night special. The old fashion was very good but didn’t overcome the too dry oysters and the tough cut of prime rib. I question that it was cut off the roast. Maybe a buy out item. My wife’s tuna entree was very good as well as my son’s scallop dish. The server was just going through the motions.
