The Blue Ridge restaurant is a farm-to-table artisanal buffet overlooking the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. The Morning Table signature buffet, served each morning, will redefine all that you imagined breakfast could be. The food quality is ok, and there is usually a reasonable variety. I’d say this year the variety wasn’t as extensive as I remember. They have gotten very expensive as well. I guess that’s the way it is most places these days, but doesn’t change my disappointment. I’m sure we will be back, but not as often

                                                                                            Been going here very regularly for 30+ years and has always been a top notch experience in every way until about 6-7 years ago. Since being bought by OMNI the food quality, offerings, service and ambiance has declined steadily while prices have skyrocketed beyond normal inflation ($30 to self-park!) The past two years have seen the most dramatic decline. A once majestic experience has been reduced to par hotel and restaurant standards with noisy bar like atmosphere. If you’ve never been here and didn’t know what it used to be like it would probably be OK. But, sadly we won’t be back.

                                                                                            This is referencing the Friday evening seafood buffet. It is overrated. The food is mediocre, but pleniful. The price is not justified by the food quality. The dining room is loud and crowded. The only justification for the buffet price and the valet parking price is that this is the Grove Park Inn. This meal is not recommended unless you want an excuse to visit the Inn, and keep in mind there are better meals available there.

                                                                                            We eat breakfast here all the time and it’s wonderful. Ate dinner here last night for the first time in several years and it was not good, especially for the price. The staff is WONDERFUL so absolutely no issues there. But the buffet options were not good. Rainbow trout was cold and hard. Pork loin was dry. Lamb shoulder was chewy. I could go on. The apple pie I had for desert was good and that’s about it. And it was $55 per person. And I hate it because we really like this place for breakfast.
