Chef-favorite, late-night brasserie featuring raw bar, seafood, American dishes & cocktails in a convivial setting. Blue Ribbon's bustling dining room and friendly bar have been serving neighborhood regulars and culinary industry insiders since 1992. The Bromberg Brothers' eclectic vision first sprang to life here and has blossomed into an iconic destination known for its late-night dining scene where the country's top chefs congregate and eat after closing their own kitchens. Whether you're craving a burger and a beer, a hanger steak and a pint, a roasted rack of lamb and a deep red cabernet or the famed shellfish platter and champagne, Blue Ribbon is famously open late, seven nights a week.

It is such a neighborhood classic with a lively atmosphere and great food. Service strikes the right balance by being attentive but not intrusive. The food never disappoints.

I have tinnitus so we had an outside table that was perfect If I wanted something else that was New Yorky and intimate / loud, the dining room would have been great. It’s an OG thang. Love it.

Bottom Line: avoid the outdoor booths facing the park….. The food and drinks were delicious, expensive, but delicious. Oysters, fried chicken and red cocktail all standouts. Staff was fantastic - patient, gracious, knowledgeable and attentive. Our issues resulted entirely from where we were seated — outside in one of the nicely constructed booths that extend past the building’s property line and are adjacent to a small park. We had asked to sit outside and had no problem with the booth itself. But there is a major potential downside to being seated in front of the park: For the first half of the night a group of teens were loudly practicing volleyball in the corner of the park right next to our seats. When they left, the rats came out. 10s of rats scampering around the park, impossible to ignore. We did not ask to move - which I’m sure would have been accommodated if another booth was available … What can the restaurant do? Complain to the city and encourage neighborhood to attack the problem - the rats, not the volleyball players - AND consider not seating guests at the park facing booths while it’s still light outside.

NYC classic - not trying to be cool, just is. Steak, the best fried chicken (seriously!), branzino all so good. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the hot fudge sundae. This should be a no brainer 10, so easy but not with chocolate sauce, kinda a bummer but didn’t take away from an awesome dinner.
